TNAU is one of the first State Agricultural Universities in the country beginning to work in the cutting-edge research, integrating Nano Science and Technology in Agricultural Sciences. In order to provide opportunity to young graduates, a starter course on “Fundamentals and Applications of Nanotechnology” had been introduced during 2007 in the Under Graduate curriculum. This course is offered to all the Under Graduate Degree Programs except B.S. (Agri Business Management) offered by TNAU. The course curriculum is designed to deliver information on basic principles and concepts, synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, besides their applications in the field of Agriculture, Energy, Environment and Health Sciences.
